The following information outlines some of our completed projects and accomplishements in the Ukraine. All of these projects have been initiated by our Ukrainian project partners. CORBIA working through many organizations and individuals has participated or led the effort in the United States.

Completed Projects

Administrative Consulting
During the period 1993-1996, CORBIA provided administrative consulting services to Ternopil City Council on various topics. It was through these early contacts that many of the other projects have developed.

Vaccine
Through the cooperative efforts of Mr. Alexander Levchenko and CORBIA, vaccine was supplied for 100,000 children in the Ternopil region during the dyptheria epidemic of 1994.

Burn Center Equipment
In an effort led by Ternopil's Dr. Bigunyak, Alexander Levchenko supplied CORBIA with the specifications of equipment needed for the treatment of severely burned patents. CORBIA obtained and supplied equipment for the establishment of the Burn Center.

English Language Medical Library
In conjunction with Greenville Hospital System, Greenville, SC, a medical library with over four thousand medical books has been set up at The Ternopil State Medical Academy (TSMA). Fay Towell, Librarian at GHS organized the collection process and dozens of GHS and Greenville area physicians responded by donating the books for this library. The results is the largest English language medical library in Ukraine.

English Language Public Library
The first Public English Language library of any size has been established in Ternopil Ukraine as a three year effort has finally come to conclusion. Over 30,000 books in many classifications were collected, sorted, boxed and shipped to UCPI for the purpose of bringing English language materials to the people of Ukraine. From this effort many smaller projects have spun off and the results of the effort are beginning to have a major impact in Western Ukraine. For example, several schools at the elementary and middle school levels are using resources from this library as teaching schools.

One good example is in Snow White .Schools have established a competition to produce and present plays in the English language. This production of Disney's classic, Snow White fills the auditorium with parents and visitors at every performance.

Creation of a political school to study political party organization

Creation of a regional "Think Tank" to solve local problems.

Developed production of "pressure garments" for the treatment of burn patients.
